"Both a majestic fanfare and brutal swan song, 'White Rhino' was written just weeks before the last male Northern White Rhino died in the wild in 2018. Two females still remain under 24 hour armed guard. The layered percussion parts create the sounds of the bush, the insects, the wind, the thunder, the rain. The ostinato guitar and bass play the inevitable passing of time. And the horns are the great and noble beasts of the Savanah. A blistering trumpet solo laments the brutality our species has inflicted upon the the countless magnificent creatures that once thrived on our planet."
